Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, lightly greased with cooking spray or oil.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, combine the ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until beef is browned and onions are translucent, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
  3. Place the refrigerated pizza dough on a floured surface and divide into 16 equal squares, about 4 inches across.
  4. Place a scoop of the beef mixture and a square of cheddar cheese in the center of each dough square. Bring corners together to form a ball and pinch to seal.
  5. Boil 4 cups of water in a pot, add baking soda, and gently drop in each dough ball, cooking for 30 seconds.
  6. Remove dough balls with a slotted spoon and place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy the irresistible aroma!
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving with ketchup or mustard.
