Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
  2. Cook 1 cup of elbow macaroni in boiling salted water until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, drained macaroni, ½ cup shredded cheddar, ½ cup shredded mozzarella, ½ cup milk, ½ cup breadcrumbs, ¼ cup grated Parmesan, chopped onion and garlic, 1 egg, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture to the greased baking dish, pressing it down evenly and smoothing the top.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top of the meat mixture.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes; then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.
  7. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
