- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
- Cook 1 cup of elbow macaroni in boiling salted water until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, drained macaroni, ½ cup shredded cheddar, ½ cup shredded mozzarella, ½ cup milk, ½ cup breadcrumbs, ¼ cup grated Parmesan, chopped onion and garlic, 1 egg, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Transfer the meat mixture to the greased baking dish, pressing it down evenly and smoothing the top.
- Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top of the meat mixture.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes; then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.
- Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
