For the Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper
  • 1 lb Lean ground beef
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce or passata
  • ½ cup Light cream cheese
  • ½ cup Light sour cream
  • 1 cup Fresh basil leaves For garnish

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions for 8-10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the onion and green bell pepper in olive oil over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until soft.
  3. Brown the ground beef in the skillet for about 6-8 minutes, adding garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add tomato paste and tomato sauce, simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
  5. Mix in cream cheese and sour cream, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  6. Combine cooked pasta with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  7. Garnish with torn basil leaves and serve warm.
