Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken strips with salt, pepper, chili powder, and cumin. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove chicken and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic, cooking for an additional minute.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer gently for 2-3 minutes. Gradually fold in shredded cheddar, stirring until melted and smooth.
  4. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, stirring into the creamy cheese sauce and sautéed vegetables. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Spoon the creamy chicken mixture onto the bottom half of each slider bun. Top with the other half of the bun and gently press down.
