Step-by-Step Instructions for Air Fryer Tofu
- Start by pressing the firm tofu for at least 20 minutes to remove excess moisture. Wrap the tofu in a clean kitchen towel and set something heavy on top.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder and onion powder, along with ½ teaspoon of salt and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth.
- Gently toss the pressed and cubed tofu in the marinade until each piece is evenly coated. Let sit for about 5 minutes.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Place the marinated tofu cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the tofu from the basket using tongs. Serve immediately.
