Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Press your block of extra-firm tofu to remove excess moisture and let it press for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cube the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes, around 1-inch thick.
  3. Toss the cubed tofu gently in cornstarch until every piece is evenly coated.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, red pepper flakes, and sesame oil to create the honey garlic sauce.
  5. Pour cooking oil into a frying pan and heat it over medium heat until it's ready for frying.
  6. Fry the coated tofu cubes in the hot oil for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Remove the tofu from the pan, drain briefly on paper towels, and toss in the honey garlic sauce until coated.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions and serve warm over rice or quinoa.
