Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of creamy mashed potatoes with 1 cup of your chosen cheese, 1 large egg, ½ cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of pepper. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated, about 5 minutes.
- Use a tablespoon to scoop out portions and roll them into small puffs, roughly 1 to 2 inches in diameter. Place on a plate, leaving space between each.
- Roll each puff in breadcrumbs until evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully add puffs to the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden-brown. Use a slotted spoon to turn them.
- Remove puffs with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm on a platter to your guests.

Notes
For extra crispy puffs, double-coat them in breadcrumbs before frying.
