- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease three 12-count mini muffin pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Devil's Food cake mix, large eggs, canola oil, and black food coloring if desired. Mix until well incorporated.
- Scoop about ½ tablespoon of dough into each mini muffin cavity and flatten gently.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, until edges are set but centers are soft. Remove from oven and press an indentation into each cookie.
- Allow to cool completely in pans for 10-15 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt; mix until smooth. Add milk to desired consistency, then mix in green food coloring.
- Fill each cooled cookie cup with the green buttercream.
- Decorate with sprinkles, candy eyeballs, and pretzel sticks.
