Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Chai Tea Latte
  1. In a medium saucepan, pour in 2 cups of water and place it over high heat. Bring the water to a rolling boil.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add 2 teaspoons of black tea leaves or one tea bag to the saucepan. Reduce the heat to a gentle simmer and let the tea steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in 1 teaspoon each of ground ginger, cardamom, and cinnamon, along with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Allow this mixture to bubble gently for another minute.
  4. Next, pour in 1 cup of milk or your preferred dairy-free alternative into the saucepan. Gently heat this mixture over medium-low heat until it's warmed through but not boiling.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat. Using a fine mesh strainer, pour the chai mixture into your favorite mug to remove the tea leaves and spices. Taste your Chai Tea Latte, and add sweetener to your liking.
  6. Your homemade Chai Tea Latte is now ready to savor! Consider topping it with frothed milk or a sprinkle of cinnamon. Serve immediately.
