- Season the chuck roast with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder on all sides.

- Return the roast to the pot, secure the lid, and set to cook on high pressure for 60 minutes.
- Allow for a natural release of pressure for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
- Remove the roast and let it rest for a few minutes on a cutting board.
- Mix cornstarch with water, then add to the strained cooking liquid in the pot to thicken the gravy.
- Slice the roast against the grain and serve topped with the thickened gravy.
