Preparation Steps
- Preheat the Air Fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peeled and sliced apples with 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Toss until well coated.
- Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Spread the coated apple mixture evenly across the bottom of the air fryer basket.
- In a separate mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of all-purpose flour, ½ cup of rolled oats, ⅓ cup of packed brown sugar, and ¼ teaspoon of salt. Pour in ¼ cup of melted unsalted butter and stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Evenly sprinkle the crumb mixture over the apple layer in the air fryer basket.
- Carefully place the basket in the air fryer and cook for 20–25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Allow the Air Fryer Apple Crisp to cool slightly for about 5 minutes before serving.
