- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mixed berries, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and lemon zest.
- Slice the rolled-out puff pastry into rectangles.
- Place a spoonful of the berry filling down the center of each pastry rectangle.
- Fold the sides of each rectangle over the berry filling and pinch the edges to seal.
- Arrange the twisted pastries on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Brush the tops of each pastry with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
