Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Your Workspace: Begin by greasing a large plate with butter or cooking spray and setting it aside for the cooled fudge.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a medium heavy-bottomed pan, pour in one can of sweetened condensed milk and sift two tablespoons of cocoa powder over it.
  3. Cook the Fudge Mixture: Turn on the heat to medium and add one tablespoon of salted butter.
  4. Thicken the Fudge: Lower the heat and keep stirring until the mixture thickens, resembling a thick brownie batter.
  5. Cool the Fudge: Transfer the fudge to the greased plate and let it cool for about 15 minutes.
  6. Prepare the Strawberries: Wash and dry twenty fresh strawberries thoroughly, removing the leaves while keeping the caps intact.
  7. Shape the Mice: Shape the cooled fudge around each strawberry to form a mouse shape.
  8. Coat the Mice: Roll the fudge mice in grated chocolate or chocolate sprinkles until they are completely covered.
  9. Add Tails: Roll a small piece of fudge into a tiny tail shape and attach it to each strawberry.
  10. Create the Ears: Split a roasted peanut in half and attach each half to the fudge mouse's body.
  11. Finish with Eyes and Noses: Add small circle-shaped sprinkles for eyes and a tiny ball sprinkle for the nose.
  12. Chill Before Serving: Refrigerate the decorated fudge mice until ready to serve.
