- In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of whole milk and 1 cup of heavy cream. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until warm but not boiling for about 5 minutes.
- Add ½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and ½ cup of white chocolate chips. Stir continuously for about 2–3 minutes until melted and smooth.
- Stir in ¼ cup of granulated sugar, ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, and ¼ teaspoon of peppermint extract. Mix well for about 1–2 minutes until dissolved.
- Add a few drops of green food coloring to the mixture and stir for about 30 seconds until evenly distributed.
- Taste your Grinch Hot Chocolate and adjust sweetness or color as desired before serving.
- Pour into festive mugs, filling them about three-quarters full.
- Top with whipped cream, creating a fluffy cloud.
- Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the whipped cream for a festive crunch.
- Optionally, add mini marshmallows on top for extra fun!
