Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of warm milk, ¼ cup of granulated sugar, and 3 teaspoons of active dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 ½ cups of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Pour the activated yeast mixture into the flour and salt bowl. Add ¼ cup of melted unsalted butter, stirring until a sticky dough begins to form.
- Transfer the sticky dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm location for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch the risen dough down gently, divide into 12 pieces, and shape each into a roll. Place on a greased baking sheet.
- Cover rolls with a towel and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, melt ½ cup of unsalted butter. Add 2 tablespoons of minced garlic and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, cooking for about 2 minutes.
- Brush the warm garlic butter generously over the tops of the rolls.
- Bake the rolls for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
- After baking, brush rolls with remaining garlic butter for added flavor.
