- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the pound of ground beef. Cook until browned for about 8-10 minutes, then drain excess fat.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese and grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer meat sauce, lasagna noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and shredded mozzarella. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and meat sauce.
- Top with remaining shredded mozzarella. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden.
- Let cool for 15 minutes before serving to allow layers to set.
