Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the pound of ground beef. Cook until browned for about 8-10 minutes, then drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese and grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  5. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer meat sauce, lasagna noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and shredded mozzarella. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and meat sauce.
  6. Top with remaining shredded mozzarella. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden.
  7. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving to allow layers to set.
