- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, making approximately 20 to 24 meatballs.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the bourbon, apple butter, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
- Place the shaped meatballs in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer and pour the bourbon apple butter sauce over them.
- Cover and set the slow cooker to low heat. Cook for 4 to 6 hours, checking around the 4-hour mark for doneness.
- Use a slotted spoon to transfer the meatballs to a serving platter, drizzling extra sauce over them.
