Step-by-Step Instructions for Smoked Gouda & Onion Dip
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant, then set aside to cool.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Blend until smooth.
  5. Add grated smoked Gouda, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, and the sautéed onion and garlic. Fold until combined.
  6. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
  7. Transfer the dip mixture to a baking dish, spreading evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until heated through and bubbly on top.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped chives before serving.
