Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 360°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out one sheet of puff pastry until it’s about ⅛ inch thick and spread an even layer of basil pesto over it. Sprinkle grated mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the pesto.
- Lay a second sheet of puff pastry on top and slice it into 1-inch strips, leaving about a 2-inch strip at the top.
- Fold each pastry strip over itself multiple times to create a tree shape, inserting a skewer into the bottom of each tree.
- Cut out small star shapes from the reserved pastry and place on top of each tree. Brush the surface lightly with egg wash.
- Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drizzle with hot honey and sprinkle with red pepper flakes before serving.
