Baking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets lined with parchment paper.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, and mix until combined.

  6. Fold in the coconut, pecans, and chocolate chunks.
  7. Drop rounded portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, keeping an eye on them until edges are firm and centers are slightly soft.
  9. Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
