Step-by-Step Instructions for Pepperoni Pizza Quesadillas
- Begin by heating a large skillet over medium heat. While the skillet warms up, take one flour tortilla and brush one side lightly with olive oil.
- Place the oiled side of the tortilla down in the heated skillet. Spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce evenly on the surface of the tortilla.
- Next, sprinkle ¼ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by a layer of sliced pepperoni, a pinch of dried Italian seasoning, grated Parmesan, and freshly chopped basil.
- Carefully place a second tortilla on top of the cheese and toppings. Gently press down with a spatula to combine the layers.
- Cook the quesadilla for about 2 to 3 minutes, or until the bottom tortilla is golden brown and crispy.
- Using a spatula, carefully flip the quesadilla over, allowing the uncooked side to now face the skillet. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- Once cooked to perfection, carefully remove the quesadilla from the skillet and let it rest for about a minute. Slice it into wedges, and serve immediately.
