Step-by-Step Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the rotini pasta and cook according to package directions until just al dente, usually about 8–10 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, add a drizzle of olive oil if needed. Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the BBQ sauce, honey, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet with garlic. Stir well and let simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Return the cooked sausage and drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss gently for a minute or two until evenly coated.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot.
