Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Sauté the vegetables by heating vegetable oil, then add onion and green bell pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring until fragrant.
  3. Brown the ground beef and pork in the pot for 6-8 minutes.
  4. Drain excess fat to avoid greasy chili.
  5. Toast the spices by adding chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, and cayenne pepper, stirring for 1 minute.
  6. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, and brown sugar. Mix well.
