Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it's hot and ready for baking.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Take a small portion of the meat mixture, flatten it in your palm, place a cube of mozzarella in the center, and fold the meat around to fully enclose the cheese.
- Heat olive oil in a large, ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Cook the meatballs for about 5 minutes, turning for even browning.
- In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt, then toss in chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes until translucent.
- Add minced garlic to the onion and sauté for an additional minute until aromatic.
- Sprinkle the flour over the onion and garlic mixture. Stir for about 2 minutes to form a roux.
- Gradually pour in beef broth and Guinness while stirring continuously. Increase heat and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, then gently place the browned meatballs back into the skillet, ensuring they are well coated.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
